Klein, 76, and Gruber who is some 48 years his junior, broke up four months prior to the wild incident but had dated for two years before reportedly growing apart. The former gay porn star was arrested in 2012 after cops accused him of hiding cocaine in his underwear when they responded to a call that he assaulted a friend at the West Village penthouse apartment where he lived at the time. It's not Gruber's first brush with the law.
Gruber is charged with criminal trespass for being in the apartment, drug possession and possession of stolen property. 'Everything in my apartment is my property,' he said when confronted. When police searched his home, they found methamphetamine, $3,000 in cash, and what appeared to be a stolen package of clothes. Gruber lives in the same building as where the attack took place in an apartment he allegedly illegally occupied after breaking in and changing the lock.
